Ponder, Texas Being a Ponder myself :) I was naturally attracted to this little town. My sister and I wanted to take a photograph by an old building with the name Ponder on it. What we found instead was a wonderful history lesson on Ponder Texas. The town of Ponder use to have another name. Train tracks were being laid and the town wanted tracks through their area to bring in business. The town offered to name itself after the person in charge of the train...his name was Ponder. More history coming soon!!!
